Udayan Shalini Girls Fellowship
This five-year Fellowship program is for adolescent girls studying in Government Inter colleges, in Barabanki. The Fellows (30 per batch), are selected based on Needs, Aspiration and Talent (NAT), a rigourous selection process. This program is in partnership with Udayancare, New Delhi.
1st Batch Induction - 2nd November'23, presided by Ms. Neha Bydwal (IAS), ADM-Barabanki.
2nd Batch Induction - 4th October'24, presided by
Sri B B Goel, Fmr. Chief Engineer, UPPCL.
3rd Batch Induction - 20th September'25, presided by Ms. Babita Singh, ASP, Vigilance, UP Police.
The Fellowship has four components, as given below-:

Scholarship
Scholarship amount of INR 10,000/- per year, is transferred directly into bank accounts of the selected Fellows. Till March'25 INR 9.10 lakh has been transferred in the bank account of 61 Fellows, of batch one and two.

Monthly Workshops
Monthly workshops are held on the topics such as, values, communication skills, health, personal hygiene, career guidance, financial literacy, etc. The workshops are conducted by expert Resource Persons. UPDATE: 20 workshops have been conducted, till March'25.

Mentoring
The Fellows receive guidance from accomplished individuals. On an average, each MENTOR is assigned three MENTESS. The Mentors are committed and compassionate individuals and they conduct monthly in-person sessions with their Mentees and keep in touch over weekly phone calls. Their role is to provide life-skills, personality development and motivate for studies.

Give-back
One of the objectives of the Fellowship is cultivate compassion, social-sensitivity and an attitude to give-back to society. With this objective, the Fellows are involved in social-work activties. In this context, the Fellows are being involved to set-up rural library and conduct book reading activities with children coming to the library.
