The Joy of Gratitude Joyshop

When was the last time you felt or expressed gratitude to someone or for something in your life?

In this busi-ness of daily life, we hardly take out time to pause, pay attention and appreciate all that we are given. And by not doing so, we miss out on something that has potential to enhance our holistic well-being, i.e., physical, mental, social and spiritual. Ever thought that Gratitude can promote wellbeing and collaboration?

Having experienced the joy of gratitude in her life, Vibha is leading Global Gratitude Mission to spread the joy of gratitude and has offered the Joyshop to more than 25,000 individuals in 12 countries.

There is a growing body of evidence that shows impact of intentional practice of gratitude, on health. Gratitude reduces anxiety and substance abuse disorders, and is a key resiliency factor in the prevention of suicide. It blocks toxic emotions, such as envy, resentment, regret and depression.

Research shows that children who practice grateful thinking have positive emotions, physical well being, feel more connected and satisfied with school and life in general. An study by Prof. Emmons, documented the following benefits of gratitude practice and journaling:

Physical Health Benefits

• Less bothered by pains & aches
• Exercise more & take better care of health

Psychological Benefits

• More alert, alive, and awake
• More joy and pleasure
• More optimism and happiness

The Joyshop is experiential and teaches simple skills to cultivate daily and intentional practice of gratitude. Vibha’s approach to gratitude is not about fake positivity, emotional bypassing or being in denial of something that is not well. Instead, it is about authenticity.
