A) Mental Health Awareness Project
The first phase was launched in August'22, in partnership with Department of Development Communication & Extension, Lady Irwin College (LIC), RAHAT Trust, New Delhi and BBD University, Lucknow. The purpose of this project is to break silence around mental health issues, provide correct knowledge and involve youth to be the voice for this change. The second phase was launched in February'23, in partnership with Regional Youth Welfare Program. Two days training was held on 16th -17th March23, for 25 youth at Harakh block. The training was conducted by Prof Aparna Khanna and her team from LIC. The trained youth have reached 700+ people in Harakh block.

"Beyond4Walls", is a communication for mental health program, in partnership with Department of Development Communication & Extension, Lady Irwin College, RAHAT Trust, New Delhi. The objective is to remove stigma and address misconceptions about mental health issues. Under this program, there will be individual projects with educational institutions & rural youth. The first project was launched in August'22, in partnership with BBD University, Lucknow.
The program objectives are:
1) To spread awareness about myths and misconception
2) To reduce stigma regarding mental health issues.
3) To build capacity of urban and rural youth as Mental Health Awareness Champions.
Strategy: To build capacity of youth by conducting trainings to impart knowledge, skills and provide behaviour change communication material. The project has four level approach. First level - training of college youth to use innovative games (Snakes n ladders, Stapoo and Ludo).
Update: The project completed three levels on 13th October, when a group of ten students from BBDU used games to spread awareness about mental health issues is Satrikh village. More than 600 people have been reached during the first cycle.
Orientation workshop of Rural Youth - On 6th February'23, 40 leaders of Yuwa/Yuwati Mangal Dal were oriented about this project, at Harkah Block office. On 7th February, ten of them participated in the games, organised at CHC Satrikh.
The second phase training was launched in March'23, for 25 youth at Harakh block. The training was conducted by Prof Aparna Khanna and Ms. Aprajita Sharma, LIC Delhi.
